Stackahoy

Deploying Containers

Stackahoy does not require anything special in order to execute a container based deployment. The only thing it depends on is the underline deployment mechanism installed on the bastion server, whether it’s docker-compose, kubectl (Kubernetes), terraform, or a simple Makefile/bash script.

In a nutshell:

  1. Make sure you’re able to execute a deployment from the server manually and sendup an endpoint to do so (e.g. docker-compose up -d, kubectl apply -f app.yaml ...).
  2. Make the connection with Stackahoy.
  3. Add docker-compose up -d to the post-deployment command CLI box within the deployment configuration.
  4. Deploy!
